Goodbye Euro, Hello (again) IBM

by Jeremy Hodge on May 4, 2012

Today was my last day at Euro RSCG 4D. On Monday I’ll  start working at IBM Research doing content strategy and development. The decision to change careers was not easy, as I’ve been very happy at Euro and have learned a lot. However, the opportunity at IBM seems like a really good career move for me.

When I started working there on August 30, 2011, I wasn’t exactly sure what my position was (other than I was going to be working on the IBM account) and knew nothing about working at an agency. While my first assignment was a community management project, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a ton of different projects including website and application development, social media education, an iPad app, videos and infographics.

As an Account Executive I was able to get a high level view of all the different disciplines (design, UX, development, etc.) and watching some of my colleagues made me want to dig a bit deeper into a single role. This new position at IBM Research will allow me to think about how content is created, consumed and shared, and create content that is optimal for a variety of audiences. Once I get settled in, I’ll be writing about some of the new work I’m doing.

I’ll miss working with the team at Euro, however, I’m excited to start solving new problems and creating content around  the new technologies and discoveries coming out of IBM Research. Looking forward to starting a new chapter.
